Radiator grille
Manufacturer - unknown The size of the mesh gives 29 holes in 14.25" exactly (measured on the square dimension), middle of wire to middle of wire. This leaves a pattern of exactly 20 diagonal holes widthwise when fitted in the grille surround. I have checked against authentic photos of 1936/7 competition cars and the mesh size is the same. There is no easily available equivalent to this, a modern metric mesh will give 18.5 diagonal holes. The wire is 0.068" - 0.070" which is probably a particular SWG gauge then plated....
